Every second Friday, women are invited to the YWCA Halifax in Spryfield to share a nutritious meal and learn about eating healthy on a budget.
Other programming includes:
- How to cook
- Learning about Canada’s Food Guide
- How to garden
- Includes planting and maintaining container gardens at our location
- At the end of the season, participants can harvest the containers and share the fruits of their labour
- Receive a recipe of the week
Many women have experienced multiple benefits from adjusting their diet and eating healthy, such as lowering their blood sugars, cholesterol, and losing weight.
